LABS & LISTENING CENTER
News, privacy, audio-editing, and solutions to management of people LABS. Labs will be at KHOI, across the street from the conference center, every day, (have to discuss this with lab leaders).

At KHOI, there will be a LISTENING CENTER for any audio you bring to share (don’t have to be shows, anything you want to share). There also will be a designated area for syndicated shows in the Listening Center, so if you are looking to promote your show, bring a 4-5 minute demo .mp3 and any printed promotional material. And participate in the “Speed Dating for Programmers & Radio stations” session. If you are looking for shows at your station, go to the listening area and participate in the “”Speed Dating for Programmers & Radio stations.”

THURSDAY AUGUST 14
Noon – 7 PM: Conference registration at conference site
5:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Bicycle tour of Ames for early-arrivers
6:00 PM – 9:00 PM: Street Cook-out in front of KHOI to welcome you to GRC2014
Exhibit tables will be available from Thursday ay noon until Sunday at noon.

FRIDAY AUGUST 15
7:00 AM – 8:30 AM: Breakfast served by GRC at First Methodist Church dining room
Registration will continue throughout the conference at the registration table.
8:45 AM – 10:00: Opening ceremonies and welcome to Iowa delivered by Jonathan Buffalo, Historic Preservation Director for the Meskwaki Settlement
10:15 AM – 11:45 AM : Workshops
12:00 PM – 1:20 PM: Lunch served by GRC at First Methodist Church
1:30 PM – 3:00  PM: Workshops
3:10 PM – 4:45 PM: Workshops
5:00 PM – 6:30 PM: Workshops
Dinner on your own & Street fair with food and beer sampling by micro-brewers
We are looking into other entertainment options…not totally clear about the evening but we want to make it great for everyone

SATURDAY AUGUST 16

11:00 AM – Keynote speech, David Barsamian
12:30 PM – 1:30 PM: Lunch served by GRC at First Methodist Church

5:00 PM – 6:30 PM Workshops

6:00 PM – 10 PM:  “Booze N Blues” Wrap up party at the downtown wine bar for those of you leaving Monday. (Non-drinker also welcome too!)
